Hi, I'm Hayley
I started York Dog Spa because I believe grooming should be something your dog enjoys, not something they dread. Every dog that comes through the door is treated like my own, with patience, kindness and no rushing.
I'm City & Guilds Level 2 qualified in dog grooming and currently working towards my Level 3, so I'm always learning the latest techniques for every coat type. I'm fully insured and the salon is set up to be calm and quiet.
Whether your dog is a confident regular or a nervous first timer, we go at their pace. You'll get an honest rundown of how they got on every single time.

Most coats need a full groom every 6 to 8 weeks, with a bath and tidy in between if you like them extra fresh. Short coats can go longer.
Yes. We go at your dog's pace, take breaks when needed and never force anything. Tell me at booking so I can plan extra time.
Usually 2 to 3 hours depending on size, coat and how your dog is on the day.
We check the coat at drop off. Comfort comes first, so sometimes a shorter clip is the kindest option. I'll always explain before starting.
Most dogs settle better once their owner has left, but we can talk it through if you're worried.
