The traditional hand strip that keeps a wire coat healthy, wiry and true to type.
- Health check: Coat, skin and general condition checked before we start.
- Coat assessment and plan: We agree the right strip for your dog's coat and stage.
- Hand stripping of the body coat: Dead coat removed by hand, the way the coat needs it.
- Neatening of head, ears and furnishings: Head and ears shaped to look right for the breed.
- Warm bath and hand dry: A gentle bath and hand dry to finish.
- Feet, pads and hygiene tidy: Paws neat and hygiene areas tidy.
- Nails clipped and filed: Clipped and filed smooth.
- Ears cleaned and plucked where needed: Cleaned and plucked only where the breed needs it.
- Finishing spritz: A light spritz to finish.
- Advice on maintenance between visits: Tips on keeping the coat right between strips.

No. Done properly on a coat that's ready, the dead hair comes away easily.
Usually two or three times a year, with a tidy in between.
Clipping a wire coat softens it and dulls the colour over time. Stripping keeps it wiry and weatherproof.
Often yes, but it can take a few visits to bring back.
